Haleem (Daleem) is a most popular in the Pakistan, India and kashmir Middle East, Central Asia, Haleem is said to the one of the original “generosity dishes” meaning it was always prepared with the intention of sharing with others. We make ‘haleem’ every day, but demand increases during Muharra mand we try to prepare beforehand for ‘niyaz Haleem is made of wheat, barley, meat (usually minced beef or mutton (goat meat or Lamb and mutton) or chicken), lentils and spices, sometimes rice is also used. This dish is slow cooked for seven to eight hours, which results in a paste-like consistency, blending the flavors of spices, meat, barley and wheat. Haleem’ is made with various pulses, spices, chicken or beef and wheat all of which are cooked on slow heat for several hours. Serve with fried onion, salad and lemon wedges. haleem’ is a complete meal and should be taken with a spoon and for others the dish is not complete without a ‘naan’ or a ‘kulcha’.
